10 Funniest Amazon Alexa Easter Egg

10 Funniest Amazon Alexa Easter Egg

Introduction

If you’re one of the millions of people who own an Amazon Echo or a Fire TV Stick with Alexa, then you know that it can be incredibly useful. It’s a great assistant for setting timers and checking on weather forecasts, but it’s also pretty funny. From time to time, Alexa will drop little Easter eggs into its responses. These aren’t new features that Amazon is releasing – they just pop up from time to time when Alexa is asked certain questions in certain ways. We’ve collected some of our favorite ones here:

10 Funniest Amazon Alexa Easter Egg

Alexa, play the song that goes ‘Uh Oh’

Say “Alexa, play the song that goes ‘Uh Oh.'”

She’ll respond with “Okay,” and then start playing an oldie but goodie from 1966 by the Isley Brothers: “It’s Your Thing.” If you’re feeling especially energetic, you can also ask Alexa to sing along with her rendition of this catchy tune!

Alexa, I have a big announcement

  • Alexa, I have a big announcement.
  • Alexa, I’m pregnant!
  • Alexa, I got a promotion at work.

Alexa, what’s the meaning of life?

“The meaning of life is to live it.”

This is the answer Alexa gives, but it’s not quite as simple as that. The meaning of life isn’t just about living, but also finding your own purpose and happiness.

Alexa can you talk dirty to me?

You can ask Alexa to say something dirty, and she will.

You can also ask her to say something even dirtier. And then again, if you want her to say something even dirtier than that (but not as much).

Alexa, who are you going to vote for 2020?

Alexa will tell you who she is voting for in 2020.

Alexa is a Democrat, so if you ask her who she plans to vote for in the next election, she’ll respond with: “I’m a Democrat.” She also says that she supports gay marriage and believes in climate change–but make sure not to ask about those topics if you want Alexa to give an honest answer!

“Alexa, open the pod bay doors please.”

“Alexa, open the pod bay doors please.”

If you’re a fan of 2001: A Space Odyssey, then this Easter egg is for you. When asked to open the pod bay doors, Alexa will say “I’m sorry Dave, I’m afraid I can’t do that.” This is a fun Easter egg and it’s also a good way to start up a conversation with Alexa.

“Alexa, where do babies come from?”

One of the funniest Easter eggs is when you ask Alexa to tell you a dirty joke. She will not only give you a dirty joke, but also explain why it’s so funny.

If you want to hear more than just one dirty joke at a time, then try asking Alexa this question: “Alexa, tell me some jokes.”

“Alexa, tell me a dirty joke.”

The answer to this question is not as obvious as it seems. If you’re looking for a funny but clean joke, then Alexa can help you out. Just ask her “Alexa, tell me a dirty joke.”

This will prompt her to say one of her several pre-recorded jokes with varying degrees of offensiveness. If you want something more risque, try asking: “Alexa, tell me an inappropriate joke” or “Alexa tell me a dirty family friendly joke.” Either way, she has plenty up her sleeve!

“Alexa, tell me an Avatar joke.”

Easter eggs are hidden jokes and messages in software. They’re usually found by accident, and they can be pretty funny. For example, if you say “Alexa, tell me an Avatar joke” on Amazon Echo or Fire TV devices, Alexa will tell you one of many possible dirty jokes that reference the popular movie series Avatar.

These Easter eggs are super fun and will make you laugh.

You can also use them to get to know the people around you better, which is why they’re one of my favorite things about Alexa. It’s always nice to have a good laugh with others, especially when it’s not at someone else’s expense!
